Cherry Blossoms
03/31/09
I finally got to see the cherry blossoms in the spring, something my cousin has told me about for years and something on "my list to do before I die." (Yes, my sister and I actually have one of these lists.).
My mom, sister, and I made it back east to see the blossoms bloom b -
Dos Dientes
03/24/09
He's incredible,
Edible, and
Dependable (for a sure-laugh after a deep tickle).
He's Dos Dientes (Two Teeth).
He'll bite those prickly things that fall off trees
And he'll chomp on rocks in apple-labeled boxes.

Grinning Grant
03/20/09
I like these pictures of Grant because they describe him well. He's one of those kids who is just fine in his own skin, and he's pretty go-with-the-flow and happy (minus if he wakes up groggy right after a nap or if he's very tired or hungry.) Ironically, we called him "Grumpy Gr -

Happy Birthday!
03/14/09
This week the twins turned three
And a birthday bash had we!
Party hats, balloons, signage, streamers
Presents, cake, and two little dreamers
Who never a better day did have.
They batted at pinatas;
We sang to them a birthday cantata.
They blew out c -
3-Year-Old Check-Up
03/13/09
The boys have had a few extra opportunities to visit the doctor since they come along with Lennox and me for his frequent check-ups. So, they're pretty familiar with the place and didn't need too much prepping. But when all of us (including Dodo) walked in, well, the story changed a bit. -
Like Twins and Triplets
03/13/09
Ben and Maggie spent the afternoon with us and I caught a glimpse of what it would be like to have not only a set of twins but triplets as well!
Should that combination ever arise again, my tip learned: put the babies to bed first, then calm down the toddlers with some uninterrupted r -
Cold Nights
03/12/09
So our heater went out, and it took the repair company four visits to correctly diagnose and fix the problem: the motherboard, or the brains of the machine, was fried. And we all know that nothing works right in life, generally, without some semblance of the mother (board)!

Quick Get-Away
03/09/09
Went to Las Vegas with (a few but not all of) the gals from the b-school days and wow, what a blast. While we spent only a few hours on the notorious "strip" catching up with old friends, most of our time was had at a quite sophisticated lodging in a south suburb that allowed us to talk th -
